Karen + Aaron - The Engagement

Another wierd Wisconsin/Minnesota day for weather. As I started my drive up towards the Twin Cities area, it was amazing for a day to take photographs, overcast and about 65 degrees. But as I pulled into the Apple Orchard that Aaron and Karen were going to meet me, all the clouds disappeared and the sun came out and it heated up, thankfully I was wearing a brown thermal so I was able to stay nice and cool....NOT.

I was excited for this couple's engagement shoot considering I booked their wedding with them three days ago! I had photographed Karen's brother, Tom's wedding earlier this summer as some of you may have saw that blog post "Tom + Kate - The Wedding." Check out some of the fun we had a hot June 26th of this year. I'm so glad she didn't sing yesterday during our engagement shoot, once was enough at Tom and Kate's wedding.

We photographed for an hour or so and then afterwards they got to spend a little time together picking 10lbs of apples each to take home in their grocery bag. What a great couple to get to know and have a couple laughs with! Thanks for the great session guys and thanks for chosing me :)

Now if you don't laugh at these next two images, you better go to the doctor and get checked out because they are HALARIOUS.

After a bunch of pictures they even had a hurdeling contest....Aaron won.

Amanda + Ben - Trash the Dress

I had photographed Amanda and Ben's wedding the second week of August, and I think Amanda was a little hesitant about doing a "Trash the dress" session, but after she saw some other images and saw how much fun it might be, we talked her into it :)

Amanda had a couple great ideas, and brought along her pink cruiser! We also went to a couple other locations, and lastly had a little fun swimming. Enjoy

Bev + Jim - The Engagement

I am certainly not a morning person at all, but I am usually at the gym by 8 or 9am most days, I am up late editing pictures I might come in the later morning, but this lady Bev is a morning person. She is at the gym around 5-530am for cycling and her workout. Mike the owner of "The Gym" and his wife Mary, after hearing about Bev and Jim's wedding referred another gym member (me) to Bev as a photographer for their wedding. (Thanks Mike and Mary!)

After hearing her last name of Scott, it got my mind turning and I couldn't figure out why her name sounded so familiar. The day she emailed me, I emailed her back real quick and jumped in facebook to check a few messages and Julie Scott started a chat, and then it was like HEY!! I know where I know that name for. It's Julie's Mom! I've known Julie for a long time know through some mutual friends so I was excited to have this wedding, I haven't seen Julie probably since almost high school?

Bev and Jim picked probably the BEST day of the entire year, which is October 1st, and also happens to be my 24th birthday! They asked, "Ohhh and you don't mind working on your birthday?" I most certainly don't! Capturing people in love is too much fun to pass up, even if it is on my birthday.
