I woke up Sunday morning and God answered my prayers! For once a wedding outside and it didn't feel like the Amazon, hot and humid. It was perfect for a wedding, slight overcast, 70' with a light breeze, absolutely FANTASTIC weather.
I met up with the girls as they were doing their last minute touch-ups and getting into their dresses and started right away with a few posed images.
After the girls, the guys showed up for a few posed, well OK, not so posed, more fun I guess you could say, or laid back?
Tiffany and Phil's wedding was outdoors at Pettibone Resort, just over the Cass Street Bridge in La Crosse. And again, perfect day :)
Tiffany's Mom walked her down the isle to the anxiously awaiting Phil, he was ready to rock and roll and get the ceremony done to relax and have a great time with friends and family.
It was a Sunday, and I think Phil's brother was thinking about football more than the wedding, and to be more specific, he was probably thinking about his rival team fumbling the football, however dazed and confused he came to realize that he himself was holding Tiffany and Phil's wedding rings in his hand and fumbled them on the deck, ALMOST losing them into the Mississippi River. Thank God he recovered the fumble before he had a turn over on rings, but he recovered for a first down.....We all got a laugh out of it :D
After the ceremony we did a few more posed family portraits and headed across the street to Pettibone Park with the wedding party.
After a bunch with the wedding party, I took Tiffany and Phil for a quick romantic session before we had to head back for dinner.
Back in time for dinner and speeches. Both were great speeches and again Phil's brother gave everyone the laugh. Since he couldn't hold onto the rings, he needed someone to hold his speech as well.
After the best man and maid of honor did their speeches Tiffany and Phil gave a little speech about the proposal, since it was a long time coming, they were High School sweethearts.
It was at home, Tiffany wasn't really surprised, she was just weirded out because Phil kept following her around the house, she thought he was just in the mood, but couldn't figure it out.
After all the speeches, I took Tiffany and Phil outside for another quick portrait session to get a couple more images of just the two of them before the first dance and the rest of the party!
Congrats to the newly weds Tiffany and Phil and good luck in years to come! Thanks for choosing me to capture your special day :)
