What a great Friday afternoon wedding for Beth and Bill. I showed up at the church 45 minutes or so before all of the girls got there to finish getting ready, so I photographed a couple details.
First thing that came to my mind when starting this post was the emotion of weddings in general. The bride is always full of smiles and laughs, and obviously a few tears, but mostly laughter and smiles. Beth was full of smiles :)
Also, the emotion of bridesmaids when a bride puts on her dress. For me to be able to stand behind the bride looking towards all the bridesmaids infront of her, gazing at her as she is glowing in her wedding gown, sparkeling eyes from a shed tear or two... It's so much fun for me to be able to capture those moments.
Before the ceremony we did all of the posed photographs of the wedding party and some family in the church, and had 20 minutes or so to do some fun shots of the wedding party. Their wedding was in a small church just outside of Holmen, and we walked across the street to do some group shots.
Again, the emotion of weddings are truely why I love my job, to see the emotion in a daughter's eyes as she is giving her Mom hug. Beth's Mother walked her down the isle and gave her away to Bill so it was very emotional for her mother as well.
Since we did all of the fun wedding party shots before the ceremony, we had more time to do our private bride and groom session at the reception hall, so I took Beth and Bill around The Stoney Creek Inn, which is an amazing venue to photograph just the two of them.
On to the first dance, look at the love in those eyes :)
The DJ had the crowd going right away which is always so much fun to watch people as they "Twist and Shout" and ALWAYS fun to get a couple shots of the parents.
Would like to say congrats to Stephanie and Jarrod, who were in the wedding party, they will be tying the knot August 7th in Minneapolis.
Lastly, after the first couple of dances, I stole the bride and groom for another session, it was an amazing night, amazing sunset, and we got some really neat shots off site.
Congrats to Beth and Bill, I'm sure you will see plenty of gorgeous sunsets like we had Friday night on your honeymoon to Hawaii this week! Have a great trip and we'll see you when you get back!
