Erin + Joe - The Wedding

Another day with the ever so changing Wisconsin weather. October 16th, 85' and sunny. A perfect day for Erin and Joe to tie the knot in La Crosse.

Myself and the two other photographer's I hired, Dan Balfanz, and Eric Wuennenberg started with the bridesmaids and the lovely bride Erin getting ready around 10:30am at St. James. Erin and Joe had a very traditional ceremony and did not see eachother until Erin walked down the isle so we got as many posed pictures done before as we could. Along with some group shots outside the church before as well.
Erin was such a sweetheart, very laid back and open to a lot of different ideas as you'll see in the next few images.
We walked a block down the street from St. James to do this shot up against a brick wall and on the way back to the church we walked by the Sweet Shop on Caledonia Street, and I quickly turned to the ladies and said, "It would be a cool shoot if you guys got all different colored ice cream cones!" They were sure up for it, Erin had enough guts to eat a pink ice cream cone in her wedding dress, now that's a trooper! :)
It's time for the ceremony, we had Dan and Eric in place and organized for the beautiful bride to walk down the isle with her father.
After the ceremony we went to a few different locations to do some "Romantic" images with Erin and Joe. Thanks Dan for getting a couple shots of me during the portrait session.
Erin and Joe hired "Weddings by Nancy" which is the leading wedding coordinator/planner in the great La Crosse area so I knew the reception was going to be simply stunning, sure enough, nothing but what I expected. GORGEOUS. The reception was held at Nel's City Grill downtown, and Yum, Yum, Yum, Nel's food is to die for.
After speeches, they cut the cake just before the dance started.
We finished up the night with the five main dances, first dance, father-daughter, mother-son, boquet, and garder toss'.

I finished uploading both Dan and Eric's images onto my laptop and was going to find both Erin and Joe's parents to say goodbye and congrats, but Erin's parents were just having way too much fun out on the dance floor, I waited for just about an hour before they finally left the dance floor before I could talk to them. I even got a couple shots of Dr. Price and his Brother doing a little "twist and shout."
What a great day for a wedding, congrats to Erin, Joe and their families. Thanks for choosing Jared Lee Photography!
